My client has world class mines in WAs Pilbara region and looking to grow the operations through exploration and development of their large tenements. They have a great demand for their product and as an international supplier of this high grade commodity they are positioned for long steady growth into the future.

The position of Senior Mining Engineer is focused on planning and compiling budgets for the mine and reconciliation of actual production and expenditure. You will also be involved with mine design, scheduling and working back to back with the technical services manager on drill and blast designs.

Key responsibilities also include:

• Involvement in life of mine design and planning
• Reviewing  monthly forecasts
• Ore blending planning
• Monitoring of operations against budget + many more duties

To apply for this role you will need to have a tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering, have previous experience in planning and scheduling an open pit mine, strong verbal and written communication skills. A 1st class mine managers / quarry managers certificate will also be well regarded.
